Branding
The first three weeks of school we made group we want to work in for the client project. During these three weeks we had to make the branding for our team studio. We came up with a name, made logo's, moodboards and created a prototype for our website
Moodboard
What did i do?
I made a moodboard based on what we wrote in our mindmap during the brainstorming session. I think our studio would look like
How did i do it?
I made a moodboard in figma. I used the images from different websites. I looked op different portfolio's a saw a lot what would fit with us
Why did i do it?
Because we wanted a style for our studio I put together a moodboard to summarize my vision for our studio
Logo
What did i do?
I made a logo's for our studio. I made a few different ones and the others also made a logo and we chose the one we liked the most.
How did i do it?
I made a few different logo's in Figma and Illustrator. I wanted to make logo's with what we stand for in mind. Our group mostly likes to code and some like to design so our name was DCODE and to let that show I wanted some element in the logo creative for example that the letter D is colorful.
Why did i do it?
Because we needed a logo for our studio I tried to make a logo that would represent us the best.
Brandguide
What did I do?
In the brandguide we tell about the studio DCODE. The fonts we use, the colors, fontsizes, how to use our logo and how to NOT use our logo. I made this together with another teammate and I made a couple pages of the brandguide.
How did I do it?
The brandguide was made in the style of the studio. The content is presented in Figma on presentation format pages.
Why did I do it?
The brandguide was so that we can keep the identity of our studio consistent. Everyone who works with us will recognize us, because we use the same brandstyle. Brandguide
Figma website prototype
What did I do?
For the studio we wanted to make a website where you can see what we specialize in, our services and how to contact us. I made the prototype in Figma Interactive. Making sure you could scroll through our skills and services.
How did I do it?
The prototype was made in Figma and I could make it interactive by making my own components.
Why did I do it?
It's a handy tool to use to really make the prototype look like what you want to achieve with the interactions.
Website prototype
Poster
What did I do?
I wanted to make a poster for our studio. A simple one with our logo, slogan and the websitelink to visit our website.
How did I do it?
Because I wanted to practice with another professional tool I decided to make a poster with InDesign for the first time. I used different inspirations online from Google, Pinterest, etc. to make the poster.
Why did I do it?
We could use this poster to promote ourselves and also use it as flyers and make people want to know more about us.
Presentations
During these weeks we had to present our work every week to show everyone how the branding process is going of our team Studio and we would get feedback what to improve things in our work or how we could maximize our presentations.
Reflection
We created a good branding together as team for our studio. I think we could have more taken more time on creating a creative branding. We only had 3 weeks to make a brand for our team. We had planned to make a website and started making it, but the website was to complex to build with limited time to work on it. We should have made it simpler.
