Portfolio
I made my own website and I will be showing the process of making it.
Research and design
I started with looking for different inspirations. I knew wanted something different than my last
portfolio. Last portfolio I had a long homepage and this time I wanted a short homepage where there's no
scrolling. I looked for example on Pinterest and dribbble.
I wanted to make a website that's inspired by
Spain. I got that idea from my mom, because she loves Spain. I made a moodboard for the website. I
didn't want to use the colors yellow and red so I started looking for other colors that I would like to
use. I put different colors together like in the moodboard to see
if it would fit. After this I made different wireframes.
I decided to use the fonts Yeseva one, Poppins. Yeseva one is a font that I used for the titles. It's
decorative and elegant. I thought this would fit perfectly for a Spanish theme. And the Poppins font
that I used for bodytexts is
very clean and modern that is very easy to read.
For the design I made rounded windows/doors and tiles it reminds of Spanish architecture. For the
backgroud I put dots. These dots you also find on the Spanish flamenco dresses.
Testing
I made two different Figma designs. The second the second would be a short and simple homepage with a little bit of scrolling comparing to the first design. I got feedback from other students that it did remind them of a Spanish theme. With these two designs I did A/B testing and most people I asked liked the one inspired by Spain, so I sticked to that design.

When I made the portfolio file I directly connected it to my git so that I could save it on my Gitlab.
This is the first time i'm using Gitlab. Before I used to use Github, but for the schoolprojects it's
better to use Gitlab in case something happens.
This time around I made different css files. One for the homepage, one for the layout of
the projects and one for the learning outcomes.
This way it is easier to know where I have to adjust and add things.
Reflection
I learned that I always have to test the portfolio to make sure my every link works and is reachable. I'm happy that I made a new portfolio. I achieved to make my portfolio different than my last one. By making the portoflio I was able to experient with different elements.
